Our primary tool of communication is the platform's chat — we kindly ask that you use it instead of WA or other platforms. This way, our whole team stays in the loop and can assist you more efficiently.

Please note that we are a team working together to assist guests throughout the day. We do not have a night shift, so if you reach out during late hours, we'll get back to you first thing in the morning.

🖨️ We recommend printing or downloading the PDF arrival guide to your phone. This is in case the internet signal is spotty when you arrive or if you don't have an active data plan in Mexico.

👨🏽‍💻 Review the check-in process:

• To enter Capilla de Piedra, a QR code will be required for each vehicle. Make sure to have it handy.
  We'll provide the QR code for you, so we recommend sending us the information at least one day before your arrival.
• As part of the community's security protocol, all guests are required to leave a photo ID with the security team when they arrive using their QR code. It does not need to be an official ID; a Costco card, work badge, or gym membership is perfectly acceptable. The ID will be kept safely at the security booth and returned to you at check-out.

🧳 What to pack?

• 👟 Confortable shoes with ankle support. In Downtown, everything is easier when you are walking. Most of the streets are cobble stone and it is easy to twist your ankle (high heels are not for San Miguel, they are dangerous).
• 🧣 Warm clothing. From November to March, San Miguel experiences cold fronts, and there is no central climate control on the property. Although we have portable heaters, they are not always sufficient. *Please come prepared. Whether you are on or off the property, don't let the weather be a reason for a bad experience.
• 💻 Personal electronics chargers, adaptors as needed
• 📷 Camera, memory cards, chargers
• 🔋 Flashlights, batteries
• 🩱 Swimwear for the heated shared pool

Items provided include towels, bed sheets, soap, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and a hair dryer.

San Miguel de Allende enjoys a mild climate year-round, but temperatures can vary. Check the weather forecast before you pack to ensure you're prepared for the current conditions. The property is equipped with heating and fans to keep you comfortable during your stay.

For any necessities, there are several local grocery stores and markets in San Miguel de Allende. For a wider range of options you can shop at "La Comer", "Soriana" or for a more gourmet experience "City Market".

🚦 Access to Gated Community – "Capilla de Piedra"

In the residential administration, to authorize your access, you'll need to leave an ID & photo and bring a QR.
To generate it, we'll need:

• Full name of the guests.
• Vehicles, models and plate. (Specify number of occupants and name of driver per vehicle).

* Without a QR code, the security guards will not allow entry to the residential complex. To avoid any inconvenience, please make sure to send us your information at least one day before your arrival.

🔑 Access to Villa Cris

• Key is located in a lockbox.

* Detailed information with photos such as the property location, lockbox code, and more will automatically become available in the app 24 hours before your arrival date. Make sure to review it before starting your trip so you can ask any questions and avoid any inconveniences.

♨️ Hot Water

The water heater remains on pilot mode. Upon arrival, turn the pilot knob to "on" and adjust the temperature knob to your preference.

🚿 The hot water tap in the showers is on the left side (when facing the faucets).

Please note that the water heaters are tank-style, which means they require some recovery time between uses. This may prevent the water from reaching its maximum temperature immediately.

The heater is located at the entrance of the Villa. If you're unsure of the location, feel free to send us a message.

Capilla de Piedra is 1/2 mile away from "La Parroquia", very close to the best restaurants, museums, galleries and stores.

👣 STEEP
From the apartment to downtown you will be walking down, the map applications indicate a walk of about 20 minutes. Please note that going back is much harder, since you will be walking up. Many guests prefer to take a cab or Uber to go back from downtown to the Villa.

🔊 NOISE
The residential area "El Atascadero" is only a few steps away from downtown, and being close to everything has a price. Downtown San Miguel is famous for its endless parties and religious celebrations… not to mention the church bells.

🚨Safety Equipment

The property is equipped with smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, fire extinguishers, and a first aid kit. Please familiarize yourself with their locations upon arrival.

Do not attempt to re-enter the building until a Fire Officer states that it is safe to do so.

🧳 To ensure a pleasant and secure experience for all our guests, please note that the primary guest making the reservation must be at least 30 years old. Thank you for your understanding.

House & Gated Community Rules

• 👎 Not events or parties allowed.
• 🚷 We do not accept more guests than the ones listed on the reservation. (Max. 8 guests, kids included).
• 🚫 No visitors, we do not accept more guests than those registered. No overnight guests.
• 🚭 Not smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes allowed inside the property. Please smoke outside.
• 🤫 Quiet hours: From 9pm til 9am. 🔕 No loud sounds or music in accordance with town law. Avoid residential monetary fine (US$1,000 per event).
• 🐶 Dog owners:
  • Only small dogs older than 9 months.
  • No dogs that are not house trained.
  • No dogs left in the house uncrated without guest present.
  • No dogs on the furniture/beds.
  • Pick up after your dog.
  • Guests will be held responsible for any damage to house done by their pets.
  • Pet owners must bring their own food and water bowls, bed, blanket, toys, etc. Please, do not use the house linens or dishes for pets, as these are for guest use only.

• 🧺 Gather used towels. Please leave the used towels in the laundry room. Makeup, hair dye, shoe grease, blood, mud, etc… are difficult stains to remove from towels and other fibers.  In the event that we are unable to remove them, a replacement charge will be made.
• 📴 Turn things off. Before leaving, please turn off the lights, TVs, and any other electrical devices that were used.
• 🔐 Return keys. The keys must be returned as you found them. Leave one set inside the villa and return the other set to the lockbox after securing the property. (Please make sure to return all sets of keys in full. This will help us avoid the unpleasant need to charge for lock replacement and new key sets).
